As we begin to enter into the Jewish New Year, I am always reminded of the importance of our reflections from the past year. I also know how these reflections and wisdom help bring growth in the future.
This is one of my favorite times of the year. This year I was fortunate enough to be given the-responsibility to make KOA wood Lecturns for our Temple to be used at the. High Holidays.
Amazingly enough I got to spend time with our Rabbi Judith getting to know her and learning her history better.
When I designed these Lecturns to match our arch, I could feel the-vertical flow. of this special wood we used. All considerations were taken into both the Rabbis and Cantors height as well as their needs for books, and water on the interior shelves.
Wheels were put on with lockingimage devises for easy movement. The wood itself was treated and carefully matched to follow the curve of the Lecturns.
This year I will go to the Temple with special pride knowing I could help in anyway to make the holidays a better, easier place for all.
Happy and Healthy New Year to all.
